Cubs JOTI reaches as far as New Zealand

This weekend (17th/18th October) was JOTI, Jamboree on the Internet. Over 120 Cubs from the county attended including 1st Orwell, 6th Royston, and 10th Royston.

The Cubs were set the task of trying to contact people from around the world, and swapping JID’s. There was a lot of success speaking to people from places from as far as New Zealand, Mexico, and even Indonesia.

As well as this there were some bases that taught Cubs about items from around the world, how to shake hands, and what would you pick if your house was hit by a natural disaster. The day was rounded up by a talk from U.N.C.L.E (Uplifting Nepal’s Children with Love and Education).

If you would like to chat to other Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, or Explorers from around the world you can do this at any time. The website is http://www.scoutlink.net/. Note this should be monitored at all times by an adult.
