Astronomy Visit

1st Orwell Cub Pack decided to visit their local observatory…

We had a really clear night, so we were able to go out to the big telescope and look through it at constellations (7 sisters. There were a lot more than 7 close up!) and a planet (Uranus. Much levity…) with the observatory rotating in between.

As well as this they had other constellations pointed out by one of the 2 students hosting them. This was followed by some Q&A and computer work in the lecture theatre followed, with passing around of real meteorites!

Sounds like a great evening. If you would like more details, or want to book it yourself, you can find out more at University of Cambridge.
